Transcriptomes of Biliary Atresia patients and healthy controls
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Biliary atresia (BA) is a poorly understood cholangiopathy, presenting with progressive extra-hepatic bile duct obstruction in newborns. Using extra-hepatic cholangiocyte organoids originating both from BA patients and normal ducts from patients undergoing liver transplant for metabolic conditions, we aimed to determine the morphological differences between the organoids, compare their transcriptomics profiling and functionally assess differences between the organoids.
