Effect of Cardiac LIM Protein (CSRP3) on human proximal tubule epithelial cells
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Cardiac LIM protein (CSRP3) is released from the heart after cardiac injury and transits the plasma to the renal filtrate. CSRP3 has a well described transcriptionally-active role in myocardiocyte development and response to stress. Although it appears in endocytic vesicles within tubular epithelial cells in vivo it is unknown whether it alters tubular epithelial cell transcription. Therefore to test the hypothesis that CSRP3 alters PTEC transcription, human primary PTEC were exposed to physiologic concentration of CSRP3 (10nM) for 6h prior to bulk RNA sequencing.
