T cell exhastion is programmed by dynamic 3D genome reorganization

ABSTRACT: CTCF is recognized for its role in facilitating long-range chromatin interactions and 3D genome organization. In CD8+ T cells responding to chronic infection, CTCF undergoes redistribution to activate the exhausted cytotoxic effector (Tex-eff) program while simultaneously utilizing its insulation function to regulate the fate of precursors to stem-like exhausted T (Tex-prec) cells.
