Circadian oscillations in chromatin accessibility systematically orchestrate rhythmic gene transcription in soybean. [ChIP-seq]
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: The circadian clock is a universal intrinsic mechanism that rhythmically regulates most molecular, metabolic, and physiological events rhythmically across the living kingdom. Although master transcription factors composed of circadian oscillators have been identified to maintain conserved transcription-translational feedback loops (TTFL), the correlation between epigenetic and chromatin states and rhythmic transcription remains unclear. In this study, we established large-scale chromatin landscapes in soybean using a diurnal time series of ATAC-seq and ChIP-seq, alongside RNA-seq assays A common oscillating pattern that chromatin accessibility synchronizes with gene expression is characterized across the whole genome of soybean. This study enhances our understanding of the epigenetic regulation of the circadian clock and rhythmic physiology
