Butylphthalide may inhibit blood-brain barrier disruption through complement-related pathways to alleviate cognitive impairment in epileptic mice

ABSTRACT: To investigate the effect of butylphthalein (NBP) on gene expression after epileptic seizures, we used RNA sequencing (RNA seq) to analyze the mRNA expression after NBP treatment. The volcano plots between Sham, KA, and KA+NBP groups clearly show different gene distributions. Finally, we found that 754 shared genes overlapped between these differentially expressed genes, which was reversed by NBP treatment.
