ABSTRACT: The Neurofibromin 1 (NF1) tumor suppressor gene is mutated in 15-27% of melanoma patients. The overall prognosis of these patients is worse than that of patients with other genetic melanoma subtypes due to a paucity in targeted therapy options for this melanoma subtype, and its limited response to immunotherapy.
