Effect on gene expression when SMN-1 is deleted in specific tissues (muscle, intestine, neurons, global) in C. elegans
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: SMN is known to be implicated in various RNA metabolism roles. Deleting smn-1 results in neuromuscular phenotypes and has been shown to primarily affect motor neurons. However, the role of smn-1 in non-neuronal tissues has yet to be further studied. Here, we sought to study the effect on gene expression when SMN-1 is deleted in a tissue-specific manner.
