Effect of MIEN1-Based Peptide LA3IK on Gene Expression in EGF-Induced PC3 Prostate Cancer Cells at 0h, 30 Minutes, 1h, and 6h Time Points
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: This RNA-seq dataset investigates the effect of the MIEN1-based peptide LA3IK on the gene expression patterns of EGF-induced PC3 prostate cancer cells at four distinct time points: 0h (untreated), 30 minutes, 1 hour, and 6 hours. EGF stimulation was used to activate key signaling pathways involved in cell proliferation and survival, mimicking conditions associated with cancer progression. The LA3IK peptide, designed to target MIEN1, was introduced to evaluate its modulatory effects on the transcriptomic response to EGF over time. By capturing the gene expression changes at these intervals, this study seeks to identify the specific molecular pathways and gene networks influenced by LA3IK, providing insights into its potential therapeutic role in modulating EGF-driven oncogenic processes in prostate cancer. The data will contribute to a better understanding of how LA3IK might disrupt tumor-promoting signals and its possible application in cancer therapy.
