The effects of IL-16 deficience on gene expression after 24 week high-fat diet in mice
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: IL16-/-ApoE-/- mice and ApoE-/- mice were fed with high-fat diet for 24 weeks. The aortas from the two group mice were isolated for RNA-sequencing. Results showed that IL16-/- deletion caused a total of 1201 genes was altered, of which 943 genes were upregulated and 258 genes were downregulated in mice. Genes encoding membrane and extracellular components were remarkably enriched by Gene Ontology (GO) analysis, such as Collagen I α1 (ColIα1), ColIα2, Elastin, Filamin-α (Flnα), integrin beta 1 (Itgb1) and TIMP-3.
