The CDK9 Complex Regulates Transcription in Human Nucleus Pulposus Cells
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: CDK9 interacts with its regulatory partner cyclin T, forming the positive transcription elongation factor-B (P-TEFb) that regulates elongation by phosphorylating RNA polymerase II. However, the function of CDK9 in human nucleus pulposus cells has not been fully explored. Here, we demonstrate the enrichment of CDK9 at various gene promoters in human nucleus pulposus cells and compare it with a negative control (IgG) to identify genes that are transcriptionally regulated by CDK9.
