Gene expression analysis of human parotid salivary glands in cases of Mucoepidermoid Carcinoma via bulk RNA sequencing
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Mucoepidermoid carcinoma (MEC) is the most frequently occurring salivary gland malignancy. Here, we investigated transcriptomic profiles of human adult salivary glands and MEC tumors to assess programs involved in MEC progression. MEC tumors were stratified by disease grade and CRTC1/MAML2 fusion status. The bioinformatics of our study will provide critical steps in elucidating salivary MEC progression and suggest a new candidates for targeted therapies in the treatment of high-grade MEC.
