Lipopolysaccharide alters cell communication at the maternal-fetal interface revealed by Single-cell RNA-sequencing

ABSTRACT: Embryo implantation is a decisive process to pregnancy that highly relies on cell communication at the feto-maternal interface. Embryo implantation failure is commonly caused by gram-negative bacterial infection, therefore, we investigated the effect of Lipopolysaccharides (LPS) on cell types, communication and its signaling pathways of the pregnant uterus (along with the embryo) during embryo implantation using a single cell RNA Sequencing. This study is the first to report the effect of LPS induced condition compared to the normal condition of pregnant uterus during embryo implantation.
