Sc-RNAseq analysis of whole aorta from ApoE-/- atherosclerotic mice after 4 weeks, 10 weeks and 16 weeks of high-fat-diet (HFD) and STAT5-in-1 (S5i) administration

ABSTRACT: Atherosclerosis is closely associated with oxidative stress, characterized by the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS). ROS can serve as a polarization queue depending on localization. We observed that predominantly foam cells elicit high mitochondrial ROS burden in human and mouse atherosclerotic lesions. Our results revealed that STAT5 inhibition predominantly affected Trem2hiGpnbmhi foam cell cluster.
