CFTR gene regulation in pancreatic duct, bile duct and sweat gland
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: We examine cis-regulatory elements controlling expression of the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene in ductal eptihelial cells from pancreas, bile duct and sweat gland. Mutations in CFTR are associated with the inherited disorder cystic fibrosis. We identify several novel sites in addition to multiple elements seen in in other epithelial cell types.
