Transcriptom anasys of human induced stem cell-derived endothelial cells and retianl endothelial cells
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: This study conducts a comprehensive transcriptome analysis to compare human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived endothelial cells (iECs) with retinal endothelial cells (iRECs). By examining gene expression profiles, we aims to identify molecular distinctions and similarities between these cell types. With an increasing need to develop tissue-specific endothelial cells for more accurate disease modeling and personalized therapies, this work highlights the unique features of retinal endothelial cells. Understanding these differences is crucial, as retinal endothelial cells play a key role in ocular diseases such as diabetic retinopathy and aged-related macular degeneration. Insights from this study could enhance the development of targeted therapies for retinal vascular disorders.
