Angel Wing: a class of alternative splicing regulators in animals
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: We have discovered a novel splicing regulatory factor. When this gene is knocked out in Drosophila, the flies exhibit drooping wings, disrupted muscle structure, and numerous aberrant splicing events in the neuromuscular system. Based on the wing phenotype observed in Drosophila, we have named this gene anw (angle wing). Our research focuses on investigating the mechanism of how Anw regulates alternative splicing.
