RNA-Seq profiles of human prostate cancer PC3 cells with TTC3 knockdown.
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: The TTC3 gene is located at 21q22.2, and its protein product functions as an E3 ubiquitin protein ligase, mediating the ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of phosphorylated Akt in the nucleus. TTC3 was reported to play a role in neuronal differentiation inhibition and asymmetric cell division in cancer cells. We found that silencing TTC3 can significantly suppress prostate cancer cell proliferation and growth in vitro and in vivo. To identify targets regulated by TTC3, we performed global gene expression profiling analysis in TTC3-silenced PC3 cells.
