The effects of the combination of arachidonic acid and ethanol on H9c2 cardiomyoblasts
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Arachidonic acid (AA) is an omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acid, is abundant in the food. Recent studies showed that AA and AA-derived metabolites play an important role in alcohol-associated cardiomyopathy. To determine the role of AA in mediating ethanol-induced cardiomyocyte injury, we used an in vitro model, in which H9c2 cells were exposed to AA and ethanol (ET), and we performed bulk RNA-seq to identify genes altered due to ET+AA exposure.
