Effect of depletion of POLDIP2 on gene expression during spermatogenesis in mouse testes
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: POLDIP2, as a mitochondrial protein, is essential for male fertility. In our study, we found that the depletion of POLDIP2 caused accumulation of mitochondrial ribosomes and dramatic impairment of electron chain Complex IV in mouse testes. To determine the molecular mechanism after the depletion of POLDIP2, total RNA was extracted from mouse testes at postnatal day 35 and sequenced to identify the differential gene expression between wildtype and Poldip2 KO testes.
