The single-cell transcriptome data of in vitro cultured cells isolated from porcine skeletal muscle.

ABSTRACT: Porcine muscle-derived stem cells hold significant potential as a resource for both cellular agriculture and regenerative medicine. In this study, stem cells were isolated from porcine skeletal muscle tissue and cultured in vitro to investigate their transcriptional profiles using single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq). This high-resolution analysis revealed distinct subpopulations within the cultured cells and provided insights into the molecular dynamics of myogenic differentiation. The results highlight the heterogeneity of muscle stem cells during in vitro culture and identify key regulatory genes associated with various stages of myogenic commitment. These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of stem cell behavior under culture conditions and offer valuable data for optimizing expansion and differentiation protocols.
