Macrophage trafficking contributes to gut-brain crosstalk in hypertension
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: The main goal of this study is to investigate the impact of the IDL (Ion-Dyshomeostatic Larvae) condition on the transcriptomic profile of gut-resident macrophages in zebrafish larvae. While control larvae are raised in standard fish water (Danieau’s solution), IDL larvae are exposed to progressively diluted fish water, reaching a final dilution of 1:1500, starting at 2 days post-fertilization (dpf) (Apaydin et al., Cardiovasc Res 2023).
