The cellular heterogeneity and dynamics of bladder mucosa under homeostasis and injured conditions
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: To comprehensively explore the cellular heterogeneity and dynamics of bladder mucosa under homeostasis and injured conditions, we performed droplet-based scRNA-seq using the 10x Genomics Single Cell Solution on samples isolated from injured and normal rabbit bladder. Here the scRNA-seq data demonstrated that urothelial differentiation and regeneration occur in a linear fashion, with a single origin of basal stem/progenitor cell progressively differentiating into intermediate and superficial umbrella cells. And, Basal cell_2 cells expressing TP63 and higher KRT5 as stem/progenitor cell of rabbit bladder urothelium in normal mucosa-injured conditions.
