Single-cell RNA sequencing of microglia/macrophages in zebrafish pde6c mutant eyes

ABSTRACT: We performed single-cell RNA sequencing of microglia/macrophages from eyecups of zebrafish pde6c mutant and their siblings at two time points, 5 days post fertilization and 4 weeks post fertilization using the 10x Genomics platform. These data allow (i) detailed study of microglia biology and heterogeneity in the zebrafish eye under normal conditions as well as (ii) microglial response to onset of chronic photoreceptor degeneration (5 days post fertilization) and start of Müller glia-mediated regeneration (4 weeks post fertilization) in the pde6c mutant zebrafish.
