Transcriptomic Changes in THP-1 Macrophages Infected with Candida albicans SC5314 in the Presence or Absence of Cinnamaldehyde
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: This study investigated the transcriptomic changes in human THP-1 macrophages in response to Candida albicans SC5314 infection, with or without cinnamaldehyde treatment. RNA-seq revealed 1,996 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) (|log2FC |≥ 1, adjusted p-value < 0.05), comprising 691 upregulated and 1,305 downregulated genes. Additionally, we provide RNA sequencing data for macrophages uninfected with C. albicans. Between macrophages infected with C. albicans and uninfected macrophages, a total of 18 DEGs were identified, with 15 upregulated and 3 downregulated.
