Meningioma cell reprogramming and microenvironment interactions underlie brain invasion
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Meningiomas brain invasion encumbers resection and increases the risk of tumor recurrence, but the molecular mechanisms underlying meningioma brain invasion are poorly understood. To identify molecular and cellular features of brain-invasive meningiomas, we performed spatial transcriptomic of brain-invasive meningiomas. Our results reveal that meningioma brain invasion is defined by molecular remodeling of tumor cells and functional interactions within the tumor microenvironment.
