MRNA profiling upon knockdown of circRNA-HIPK2
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Despite advances in drug development, global mortality rates following heart failure (HF) remain still high, underscoring the critical need for novel therapeutic strategies. Emerging evidence highlights cardiac macrophages as promising cellular targets for intervention. In our investigation, we identified a circular RNA-HIPK2 (circHIPK2.) exhibiting close association with macrophage polarization dynamics following myocardial infarction (MI). To elucidate its functional significance and associated transcriptomic alterations, we performed targeted knockdown of circHIPK2. in macrophage cells through siRNA transfection, comparing experimental groups (circHIPK2 siR) with controls (ctrl siR).
