Estrogen receptor alpha action in mouse granulosa cells in response to LH surge [Era]

ABSTRACT: Estrogen signalling is crucial for follicle development, ovulation, ovarian identity maintenance and female fertility. The canonical pathway for estrogen signalling is through the activation of estrogen receptor alpha (ERa) and beta (ERb), both of which are present in ovarian granulosa cells. To determine the involvement of each estrogen receptor in ovarian functions across folliculogenesis and ovulation, we characterised the chromatin binding profile of ERa and ERb in mouse granulosa cells in response to in vivo LH stimulus.
