Bulk RNA sequencing of kidneys from control and KC-Tie2 model of psoriasis
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Using a mouse model of psoriasis with Tie2 overexpression in keratinocytes (KC-Tie2) we compared transcriptomes of kidneys from these mice and littermate controls. We then performed bulk RNA sequencing of KC-Tie2 and littermate control kidneys at 10 weeks of age. Results revealed over-representation of gene ontology terms related to lupus and NETosis in KC-Tie2 kidneys. Together, these findings suggest that KC-Tie2 mice exhibit increased renal damage at least in part through enhanced neutrophil recruitment and NET formation.
