The function of FTO in small cell lung cancer [RNA-seq]
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: This study investigates the role of the fat mass and obesity-associated protein (FTO), an m6A RNA demethylase, in small cell lung cancer (SCLC). RNA sequencing was performed to evaluate the transcriptomic changes in SCLC cell lines H69 and H82 following treatment with two selective FTO inhibitors, CS2 and FB23-2. Cells were treated with the inhibitors under defined conditions, and total RNA was extracted using the TRIzol reagent. RNA-seq libraries were constructed and sequenced using the DNBSEQ-T7 platform. The resulting dataset provides valuable insight into the downstream molecular effects of FTO inhibition in SCLC and may contribute to the identification of potential therapeutic targets in this highly aggressive tumor type.
