Gene expression of Uropathogenic Escherichia coli (UPEC) from different clinical categories of complicated urinary tract infection and Escherichia coli from asymptomatic bacteriuria

ABSTRACT: Escherichia coli is the predominant agent causing both different disease categories of complicated urinary tract infections (UTIs) and asymptomatic bacteriuria (ASB) cases. This study employed microarray analysis to identify the differences and similarities in the expression of genes among the Uropathogenic Escherichia coli (UPEC) and two ASB E.coli isolates that represent different end continuums of its disease severities.

ORGANISM(S): Escherichia coli
