Spatial transcriptomic profiling of alveoli and granuloma regions in patients with active pulmonary tuberculosis

ABSTRACT: Spatial transcriptomic profiling was performed using the GeoMx DSP Whole Transcriptome Atlas to measure expression of over 18,000 genes in alveoli and granuloma core and mantle regions from patients with active pulmonary tuberculosis. Differential gene expression revealed region-specific transcriptional profiles, including signatures related to antimicrobial response and lipid metabolism.
