Expression data from Pten, Apc, and Smad4 knockout prostate cancer mouse models
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Prostate-specific deletions of tumor suppressor genes such as Pten, Apc, and Smad4 contribute to diverse molecular programs in prostate cancer. To investigate the transcriptional effects of these alterations, we generated genetically engineered mouse models with prostate-specific knockout of Pten alone or in combination with Apc or Smad4, using PB-Cre. We used microarrays to profile gene expression in tumors derived from different genotypes, comparing bulk tumor tissues and isolated cancer cells. This dataset enables investigation of gene expression changes driven by distinct oncogenic drivers and tumor cell populations in prostate cancer.
