Deletion 9p drives B-cell leukemia by the concomitant loss of Pax5 and Cd72
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: We used microarrays to analyze gene expression changes in preleukemic cells from Cd72+/-;Pax5+/-, Pax5+/- and WT mice. The oncogenic role of 9p deletion in B-ALL has remained elusive since its discovery more than 40 years ago. We combined genomic analysis and functional models to show that the co-deletion of two contiguous genes, Pax5 and Cd72, confers gain in malignancy.
