MRNA transcriptome data of granulosa cells cultured either with BSA (bovine serum albumin) or NEFA (non estrified fatty acid) mix
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Postpartum negative energy balance could contribute to the reduced fertility rates in females, partly due to elevated levels of non-esterified fatty acids (NEFA) in blood and in ovarian follicular fluid. NEFA has been shown to influence ovarian cell metabolism and function, yet the underlying molecular mechanisms remain incompletely understood. During the present investigation, transcriptome differences induced by a mixture of oleate (200 µM), palmitate (100 µM) and stearate (100 µM) were were analyzed to understand the specific effects of NEFA in ovarian follicular granulosa cells.
