ScRNA-seq of vascular endothelial cells from multiple mouse tissues and human limb muscle
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: In this study, we analyzed vascular endothelial cells (ECs) from multiple mouse tissues, liver, limb, and lung as well as from human limb muscle. We demonstrate that CD157-positive ECs exhibit a conserved transcriptional profile across tissues, including gene signatures associated with angiogenesis. By integrating mouse and human scRNA-seq datasets, we identified EC clusters in human tissue that display gene expression profiles similar to those of mouse CD157-positive ECs. These cells were localized to the intima of large vessels and were found to express newly identified, specific marker genes.
