Transcriptomic profiling of DHA-treated human chondrocytes
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: This study aimed to investigate the regulatory effects of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) on lipid metabolism in human osteoarthritic chondrocytes. All cells were pretreated with 10 ng/mL interleukin-1β (IL-1β) for 24 hours to simulate the inflammatory environment of osteoarthritis. Subsequently, cells were divided into two groups: one treated with 25 μM DHA for 48 hours and the other with PBS as control. Total RNA was extracted and subjected to strand-specific paired-end RNA sequencing to examine transcriptomic changes related to lipid metabolic pathways.
