Gene expression in HCV-infected Huh-7.5 cells treated with or without tyrosine kinase inhibitors
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: HCV hijacks host tyrosine kinases to support its life cycle. Non-receptor kinases such as Abl can interact with viral proteins including NS5A, thereby modulating viral assembly. These findings highlight tyrosine kinases as promising therapeutic targets for antiviral intervention. We used microarrays to profile the global gene expression changes in HCV-infected Huh-7.5 cells treated with bosutinib or entospletinib compared with control, and identified distinct sets of differentially expressed genes associated with viral regulation.
