DNA Methylation profiles of self-reported Hispanic subjects in the Northern Manhattan Study
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: The Northern Manhattan Study (NOMAS) is a community-based cohort designed to investigate the incidence and risk factors of stroke, dementia, and other vascular outcomes. DNA methylation profiles were generated using the Illumina MethylationEPIC v1.0 BeadChip, which assays about 850k CpGs, from blood samples of self-reported Hispanic adults. Eligible participants were stroke-free, aged ≥40 years, and had resided in the Northern Manhattan community for at least three months.
