Effects of low-nitrogen treatment on tobacco seedlings
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: To better excavate the molecular mechanisms by which tobacco plants adapts to LN stress, transcriptome analysis was conducted. Cluster analysis of the three control samples and the three LN treatment samples indicated good reproducibility of the results). A total of 896 differentially expressed genes were identified, with 404 genes upregulated and 492 genes downregulated . Of the 896 DEGs, 514 differentially expressed genes were annotated in the KEGG database. Significantly upregulated genes were enriched in pathways including carbon metabolism, phenylalanine metabolism, tyrosine metabolism, and valine, leucine, and isoleucine degradation. In contrast, significantly downregulated genes were enriched in phenylpropanoid biosynthesis, plant hormone signal transduction, starch and sucrose metabolism .
