TNBC-Associated Protein γKlotho and miRNA as Potential Prognostic Markers and Therapeutic Targets in Canine Mammary Carcinoma

ABSTRACT: Surgical excision remains the cornerstone of treatment for canine mammary carcinoma (CMC). However, its unpredictable recurrence and metastatic potential often lead to poor clinical outcomes. Current research is increasingly focused on identifying reliable biomarkers to improve early detection, enable patient stratification, and support the development of targeted therapies. In our previous studies, we identified γKlotho as both a biomarker and a potential therapeutic target in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). However, the role of γKlotho in CMC remains unexplored. Objective: In this project, we aimed to investigate the expression of γKlotho in CMC and explore its correlation with RNA and microRNA (miRNA) signatures to better understand its function and regulation.
