Transcriptome profiling of pitp-1 mutant and pitp-1(RNAi)-treated Caenorhabditis elegans
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: This dataset contains the transcriptome profiling results of Caenorhabditis elegans under pitp−1 regulation. The experiment was designed to identify the transcriptional mechanisms underlying the pitp−1 suppression-mediated lifespan extension. Transcriptomic analysis was performed on pitp−1 mutant and pitp−1(RNAi)-treated worms at Day 3 of Adulthood (D3A). Bioinformatic pathway analysis (IPA) of the resulting differential expression profiles revealed a significant and coordinated downregulation of genes associated with the IIS (Insulin/IGF-1 Signaling) and TOR signaling pathways. This dataset therefore provides key molecular insight into how PITP−1 transcriptionally affects the major longevity regulatory networks.
