Expression data from Txnrd2 deficient mouse gastrocnemius muscle
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: TXNRD2, encoded by Txnrd2, is a mitochondrial enzyme of the pyridine nucleotide–disulfide oxidoreductase family and a key component of the thioredoxin system, essential for maintaining redox homeostasis. Because skeletal muscle is highly metabolically active and depends on efficient mitochondrial function and redox balance to sustain energy production, we aimed to investigate the role of Txnrd2 in skeletal muscle. The Clariom S Mouse microarray from Affymetrix was used to investigate the dysregulation of gene expression in the gastrocnemius muscle of mice with a muscle-specific deletion of Txnrd2.
