ABSTRACT: Chronic inflammation and disrupted lipid metabolism are central drivers of obesity-associated metabolic dysfunction, yet the contribution of endogenous lipid mediators in counteracting these processes remains poorly defined. 10-epimer-protectin DX (10-epi PDX), a specialized pro-resolving mediator (SPM) derived from docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), has been suggested to regulate inflammation and lipid metabolism. Here, we investigated its in vivo role in obesity-driven metabolic dysfunction.
