Transcriptomic analysis of STUB1 knockdown in HEK293 cells under normal and heat-shock conditions

ABSTRACT: Poly-A selected mRNA-seq was performed on HEK293 cells stably expressing either shRNA targeting STUB1 (shSTUB1 / shCHIP) or non-targeting control shRNA (shCTL). Biological triplicates were collected under basal conditions (37°C) and after acute heat shock (42°C for 30 minutes) to investigate the role of the STUB1/CHIP co-chaperone/E3 ligase in the cellular heat-shock response and proteostasis. This dataset supports the RNA-seq component of the study examining biochemical and clinical implications of STUB1 mutations in spinocerebellar ataxia type 48 (SCA48).
