Integrated Transcriptomic and Proteomic Analysis of Gene Expression Changes in Brown Adipose Tissue During Cold Acclimatization in Rats
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: This study aims to conduct a combined analysis of differentially expressed genes in the transcriptome and proteome of brown adipose tissue from cold-tolerant rats, exploring potential biomarkers and therapeutic targets for cold adaptation. Male SD rats underwent intermittent cold exposure, with control animals maintained at room temperature. After 21 days, brown adipose tissue samples were collected following anaesthesia with 20% urethane. High-throughput mRNA transcriptome sequencing identified differentially expressed genes within brown adipose tissue.
