ABSTRACT: We demonstrate that peroxisomes undergo dynamic remodeling and display functional heterogeneity during neurogenesis. In human brain organoids and mouse models, peroxisome damage leads to mitochondrial dysfunction and inhibits the differentiation of radial glial cells.
