Microarray data for normal human melanocytes, untreated A375 melanoma cells, and A375 cells treated with Timosaponin AIII
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Melanoma is an aggressive skin cancer with limited treatment options, particularly in advanced stages. Novel therapeutic agents with defined molecular mechanisms are urgently needed. Timosaponin AIII, a naturally occurring steroidal saponin from Anemarrhena asphodeloides, exhibits broad anticancer activity, but its role in melanoma remains unclear. In this data, we investigated the molecular mechanisms underlying its antimelanoma effects. Transcriptome profiling was conducted using the Affymetrix PrimeView Human Gene Expression Array (Affymetrix, Santa Clara, CA, USA), which targets over 36,000 transcripts based on the GRCh38/hg38 human reference genome annotation. Raw microarray data (CEL files) were imported into the R statistical environment (v4.2.2) and processed using the affy R package (v1.74.0)
