4-OI treatment inhibit LPS-induced neutrophil inflammatory responses
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Our in vitro cell research has revealed that LPS stimulation can induce the upregulation of the immune response gene 1 (Irg1) in neutrophils. Itaconic acid is a metabolic derivative generated by Irg1,4-octyl itaconate, which is exogenous itaconate, can exert protective effects in acute colitis. we utilized RNA sequencing-based omics analysis to explore the impact of 4OI treatment on the activation of inflammatory responses in neutrophils and the underlying mechanisms.Transcriptomic analysis revealed that 4-OI suppresses inflammatory signaling pathways including NF-κB and Toll-like receptor pathways. The experiment was divided into 3 groups, including the control group, the LPS stimulation experimental group, and the 4-OI treatment group.
