DNMT3L crosstalk with piRNA biogenesis in postnatal spermatogonial progenitor cells

ABSTRACT: We analyzed small RNAs expression profiles of defferent developmental stage (0 dpp and 8 dpp) to investigate the potential role of DNMT3L in spermatogonial stem cell. We observed that relative proportion of microRNA and piRNA were similar betwee wild type and Dnmt3l knouckout mice. However, piRNA origin and composition significantly differed in 8 ddp Dnmt3l-deficiency samples, and genomic location of predicted precursors remarkably shitfted as well.
