Ultrasound-Driven Rochelle Salt-Based Biodegradable Piezoelectric Deviced Promoted Axon Outgrowth After Sciatic Nerve Defect
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: This study explored Rochelle salt-based biodegradable piezoelectric devices for applications in nerve regeneration and intestinal motility monitoring. Defective rat sciatic nerves were repaired using Rochelle salt-based biodegradable piezoelectric conduits, which were stimulated with transcutaneous ultrasound, leading to enhanced axon growth. High-throughput sequencing was employed to identify significantly altered genes.
